Our ministry exists to bring children into age appropriate worship where they can belong to the family of God—and learn to serve, worship, give and share Christ’s love with others.
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these,’” (Matthew 19:14).
In many ways, not only does tomorrow’s church depend on our children, but so does today’s.
Children's Ministry at Castle Hill is a fun-filled environment that brings Biblical truth alive as children experience what the Bible says and how it applies to their everyday lives. We believe that learning should be fun and that coming to Castle Hill should be the highlight of each child's week. Your child will have a blast being with other children their age while learning practical everyday principles from God's Word.
Beginners (for parents with infants 0-3 yrs)
Whether your child is a newborn baby or a three year old headed to kindergarten, they will love being a part of Beginners. Each week, our preschool team will make you and your children feel at home and relaxed.
Our goals each weekend are to:
•Create a safe and fun environment for kids of all ages,
•Enable each child to experience that God is real and wants a relationship with them,
•Make sure this is the best hour of every kid's week
•Have relevant teaching that kids can apply to their everyday lives,
•Teach the Bible creatively through curriculum designed to reach today's kids,
•Encourage kids to interact with other kids in small groups.
Kindergarten (4-5 yrs)
The fun-filled creative lessons are designed specifically for this age group. They will have a blast learning how to love God and others while participating in worship, games and crafts!
Primary (6-9 yrs)
Each week, your children will experience the excitement of a service packed with worship and creative lessons. They will learn how to apply basic spiritual principles to their everyday lives that will help them deal with others at home and school.
Teens (10-15 yrs)
We believe your teens are the future of Castle Hill, so we’ve investedtime, energy, and resources to provide a place that they can call theirown. Expect them to experience life-impacting lessons while having heaps of fun with their friends.
Lighthouse
In many ways it is harder to raise children today than it was in past generations. Most parents want to give their children opportunities to socialise with other children on weekends, try new activities, and have good role models to reinforce the morals taught at home.
To help families achieve these goals, Castle Hill Seventh-day Adventist church, offers Sabbath School classes, activities and Lighthouse—Kids Church for our young.
We do not accept the old saying that “Our children are the Church of tomorrow”. Our philosophy is that our young people are an important part of our church today. Our young people, therefore, are accepted as a vital and important part of our congregation.
Every second month the Children’s Ministries team organise Lighthouse—a special church service for children. As well as this, they regularly play their part in contributing to worship.
Castle Hill provides love, support and Christian guidance for youngsters in a family atmosphere. We accept young people and children as an important part of our spiritual family and welcome them - and the rest of their families - to join us each Saturday from 9:30am.
